Artist Indranil
One of the most gifted abstract non-figurative painters of the twenty-first century is Indranil Banerjee. He has taken part in numerous solo and group painting exhibits since receiving his B.V.A. from the Govt. College of Art & Craft in Kolkata, India. His solo exhibition at the Max Mueller Bhavan – Goethe Institute Kolkata gave him the distinction of being the “Artist of the Month,” adding another feather to his success hat (2000). In 1998, he took part in the IAS training camp at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Missouri as a guest lecturer, demonstrator, and painter. He was given the H. K. Kejriwal Award by the Bangalore-based Mahua Art Gallery in 2007.
